Operating Basics

■ Keep mobile phones and other wireless communication devices away from the computer.

■ Always copy data from the HDD to the DVD-RAM. Do not use cut-andpaste. The original data will be lost if there is a write error.

■ Damage to any CD-R/RW or DVD-R/-R DL/-RW/+R/+R DL/+RW/

DVD-RAM disc that may be caused by writing or rewriting with this product.

■ Any change or loss of the recorded contents of CD-R/RW or DVD-R/-R

DL/-RW/+R/+R DL/+RW/DVD-RAM disc that may be caused by writing or rewriting with this product, or for any business profit loss or business interruption that may be caused by the change or loss of the recorded contents.

■ Damage that may be caused by using third party equipment or software. Given the technological limitations of current optical disc writing drives, you may experience unexpected writing or rewriting errors due to disc quality or problems with hardware devices. Also, it is a good idea to make two or more copies of important data, in case of undesired change or loss of the recorded contents.

Note the following limitations when you use TOSHIBA Disc Creator:

■ DVD-Video cannot be created using TOSHIBA Disc Creator.

■ DVD-Audio cannot be created using TOSHIBA Disc Creator.

■ You cannot use TOSHIBA Disc Creator’s "Audio CD for Car or Home

CD Player" function to record music to the DVD-R/-R DL/-RW or

DVD+R/+R DL/+RW disc.

■ Do not use the "Exact Copy" function of TOSHIBA Disc Creator to copy

DVD-Video and DVD-ROM with copyright protection.

■ DVD-RAM disc cannot be backed up with the "Exact Copy" function of

TOSHIBA Disc Creator.

■ You cannot back up a CD-ROM or CD-R/RW to DVD-R/-R DL/-RW or

DVD+R/+R DL/+RW using the "Exact Copy" function of TOSHIBA Disc

Creator.

■ You cannot back up DVD-ROM, DVD-Video or DVD-R/-R DL/-RW or

DVD+R/+R DL/+RW to CD-R/RW using the "Exact Copy" function of

TOSHIBA Disc Creator.

■ TOSHIBA Disc Creator cannot record in packet format.

■ You might not be able to use the "Exact Copy" function of TOSHIBA

Disc Creator to back up a DVD-R/-R DL/-RW or DVD+R/+R DL/+RW disc that was made with other software on a different DVD-R/-R DL/-

RW or DVD+R/+RW recorder.
