CURSOR
CUR
SOR row column
allows you to position the cursor to a specified position on your terminal screen.
argument
row column defines the line on your screen where you wish the cursor to be positioned. Row and column may be separated by a comma.
Row the row number can be a data file item, system item, system variable, or literal integer value between 0 and 24.
Column the column number defines the position of the cursor on a given line. The column number can be any number from 1 to the maximum width of your terminal screen.
notes
n
A row number of 0 clears the screen and positions the cursor at row 1, column 1. If you specify row number as 0, you must specify a column number, even though INFO ignores the specified column. A row number between 1 and 24 positions the cursor to that row. Note: Some screens scroll if you move the cursor to row 24.
n
The CURSOR command does not operate correctly if your
INFO TERMINAL setting is incorrect. See the TERMINAL command for more information.
n
When using the CURSOR command interactively or in an odd-numbered section of an INFO program, if you specify the row or column as a data file item, INFO uses that item's value in only the first selected record as the row or column number.

CURSOR discussion example
The CURSOR command is often used with the ACCEPT command in programs to allow you to enter information to be used in the program. You can use the CURSOR command to place the terminal cursor anywhere on the terminal screen, then use the DISPLAY command to display information at that screen location.
The following program clears the screen, allows you to enter a message starting at screen position row 10 and column 20, displays a message on the screen for four seconds and clears the screen again:
PROGRAM NAME: CURSOR.TEST

10001 FORMAT $CHR1,30,C
10002 CURSOR 0,1
10003 CURSOR 10,20
