In programs, the TIME command displays various timings of the process (dependent on platform) but not the current time of day. See $TIME.
The TIME command turns on or off the display of the current time-of-day at each ENTER COMMAND > prompt.
The TIME command changes the value of the system item
$TIME-FLAG, which can have a value of 0 or 1. When
$TIME-FLAG is 0, no time-of-day display occurs at each
ENTER COMMAND > prompt. When $TIME-FLAG is 1, the time-of-day display accompanies each ENTER
COMMAND > prompt.
You can turn on or off the time-of-day display using the
CALCULATE command. CALCULATE $TIME-FLAG = 1 turns on the time-of-day display; CALCULATE $TIME-
FLAG = 0 turns off the time-of-day display. The default is zero.
The TIME command also displays the elapsed time since the last TIME command was issued.
INFO displays the time in the following format, where hh represents hours; mm, minutes; and ss, seconds. (Precise output will differ between hardware systems.)
Elapsed hh:mm:ss CPU hh:mm:ss
