item-1 numeric, internal variable, datafile item or literal containing a positive integer indicating the record number to position to.

Even numbered program sections only n
Will position on the selected file to the absolute record number specified. If you POS to a record number below or above the $SETMIN and $SETMAX values of the currently selected set, you will get the error message ‘NO
RECORDS SELECTED IN THE SPECIFIED RANGE’ and will be left positioned on the currently selected record.

If the record number is within $SETMIN and $SETMAX but is not in the currently selected set, INFO will position to the nearest record number in the selected set above the specified number.
