Explicit object exchange and report management

Illustration
When the data is exchanged between the PLC memory and the module, the considl l erations taken by the module may require the running of several task cycles. To manage the exchanges, 2 words are used:
%MWxy.i: Exchange in progress,
%MWxy.i.1: Report.
The illustration below shows the different data bits for managing the exchanges.

Description of the data bits
Language objects
Each of the word bits %MWxy.i and %Mwxy.i.1 is associated with a parameter type: l l l the bits in position 0 are associated with the status parameters: l the bit %Mwxy.i.X0 indicates if a status word read request is in progress, the bits in position 1 are associated with the command parameters: l the bit %Mwxy.i.0:X1 shows whether the command parameters are sent to l channel i of the module, the bit %MWxy.i.1:X1 specifies whether the command parameters are accepted by channel i of the module, the bits in position 2 are associated with the adjustment parameters: l the bit MWxy.i.0:X2 indicates whether the adjustment parameters are exchanged with channel i of the module (by WRITE_PARAM, READ_PARAM, l l
SAVE_PARAM, RESTORE_PARAM), the bit %MWxy.i.1:X2 specifies whether the adjustment parameters are accepted by the module. If the exchange has progressed correctly, the bit changes to 0, the bits in position 15 show a reconfiguration on channel i of the module from the terminal (modification of configuration parameters + cold start of the channel).
Note: The exchange and report words also exist at module level (%MWxy.MOD and %MWxy.MOD.1).

When the instruction is scanned by the PLC processor, the Exchange in progress bit is set to 1 in %MWxy.

When the data is exchanged between the PLC memory and the module, the considerations taken by the data module are managed by the bit %MWxy.i.1:X2: Report (0
=correct exchange, 1= unsuccessful exchange).
Note: There are no adjustment parameters at the module level.
