3.6 End-Limit signals PEL and MEL

There are two end-limit signals PEL and MEL for each axis. PEL indicates end limit signal in plus direction and MEL indicates end limit signal in minus direction. The following table is the pin assignment for EL signal.

Notice that the alternative name means that if users don’t use motion functions at one or more axes, the digital input will be treated as general purpose input channel.

The signal connections and relative circuit diagram are shown in the following diagram. The external limit switches features a contact capacity of +24V,

6mA minimum. You can use either ‘A-type’ (normal open) contact switch or

‘B-type’ (normal closed) contact switch by software setting.
