Monitoring the encoder

At a Glance Conitinous monitoring of the configured encoder is performed.

Monitoring the supply to the encoder: the real voltage applied to the encoder is measured.

Line monitoring: if requested during configuration, line breaks and short-circuits are detected by measuring the differential voltage on the encoder connection lines.

Monitoring transmission: two checks are made on the SSI link with the encoder.

A parity check if requested during configuration. An answer present check.

Encoder alarm: some SSI encoders bring up error data in the serial link frame. The module transmits the data, if requested during configuration, to the application software.

Signaling:

The ERR light (red) is off

The RUN light (green) stays lit

The CH0 light (green) flashes

The I/O light (red) is on
