The third case is that of the modem which receives a break from the remote modem during a connection without error correction:
Description
Empties the data buffers and sends a break to the DTE.

Immediately sends a break to the DTE.
Immediately sends a break to the DTE.
Sends a break to the DTE in sequence with the received data.
Sends a break to the DTE in sequence with the received data (default value).
